The Longest Shadows
The Longest Shadows
21,000+ words written so far in 10 days. The script for the new Art of Digital Blending is coming along well. It should be finished tomorrow. And I can start recording on Saturday. All of the workflow previews and before and after/comparisons can be found here – Art of Digital Blending Update
I hadn’t planned on publishing a post today, but I just wanted to share an image from a year and a half ago in France. I never published it for some reason.
Have a great weekend (I know I’m a day early, but let’s look on the bright side)!

Today’s Photo – The Longest Shadows
I created this image by blending the middle and lower exposures from the sky and tree line. And then I gently painted in the higher exposure for the foreground.
A lot of cloning was done to clean up the lens flare. The horizon was straightened using the Distort tool so that I could minimise how much information was lost.
A warm filter was added throughout the image, and I used Knoll Light Factory to increase the power of the sun.
I then darken some of the foreground to the right to even out both sides of the trees a bit, and finished with a strong vignette.
