Le Louvre
French Journal Day 138 (Travel Diary Day 218)
We’ve installed ourselves nicely in Paris now. Our neighbourhood is lovely, right along the canal. It’s incredibly bohemian with cool cafes and jazz bars everywhere. We also live near a lively, clean park full of runners, families out for a stroll and dog walkers. It’s a breath of fresh air (not literally) to be living in a city again.
Yesterday we had a great day and evening on our HDR photowalk. We got to meet some local ‘experts’ who gave me some advice on places to shoot. It was a pleasant surprise to be visited by the guys who run Oloneo, as well.
To our delight, after weeks of rain and greyness, the weather was fantastic. We caught a colourful sunset and blue hour around the Louvre.
I’m looking forward to exploring Paris more. Tonight, however, we’re attending a French pub quiz, which we will definitely lose.
